PRESS RELEASE: Return to Campus

Dear UFV Students

We are writing to you following the notice released by UFV regarding the new mandatory confidential self-disclosure of vaccination status for UFV students, staff, and faculty. The UFV Student Union Society supports UFV’s Return to Campus Plan as we work to ensure the safe return to in-person learning and campus activities. SUS is dedicated to providing students with the best post-secondary experience possible and have been working closely with UFV Administration, UFV Risk and Safety Department and other Students Unions across the province. To help further protect our members and the community, pop-up vaccination clinics will be available at the Student Union Building (SUB) in Abbotsford and in various locations at the Chilliwack Campus (see here for times and locations).

We have created a survey that we encourage all students to fill out, as we want to know how you feel about the safety measures that are in place. We understand the shifting dynamics of what COVID-19 brings and SUS will continue to work closely with the University Administration to ensure that students’ safety is at the forefront of UFV’s return to campus plan and that appropriate measures are taken. Your voice matters, so please take a few moments to complete the Return to Campus Survey.

We look forward to seeing you soon!

Sincerely,

Nikiel Lal

SUS President
