You can pick up your Winter 2012 U-Pass in the SUS offices. Please bring your UFV Student Card and proof that you’ve paid your U-Pass fee!
You got your U-Pass?
brought to UFV by the Student Union Society, with invaluable support from the Students For Sustainability.
Your U-Pass is valid in each semester that you are a registered member of the UFV Student Union Society.
Do not discard your U-Pass card as it will be re-validated for use each semester.
DO NOT get your card mixed up with someone else’s. Though there is no picture on the card, it is registered under your name and will be checked each time you use it, and confiscated if it doesn’t belong to you.
A fee of $10 will be charged if you need to replace your card. Additional fees can be applied to fraudulent use of your card.
** If you are a UFV student, and have your UFV student card, but were not assessed the U-Pass fee for whatever reason, you can opt into the program for $105 ( the total of all SUS membership fees ). Just go to the UFV Admissions and Records office, tell them you want to sign up for the U-Pass and bring the receipt to a SUS U-Pass deployment site.
U-Pass features
TRANSIT - The U-Pass provides students with unlimited access to transit within the systems of Abbotsford, Mission and Chilliwack, and is valid in semesterly terms: Fall, Winter, and Summer.
• U-Pass holders do not have to pay any top-up fares for the Aldergrove Connector, all you need to do is show the driver your pass when you board!
• B.C. Transit drivers have the authority to request to see valid student ID if they suspect a U-Pass user is not a student.

LOCAL RECREATION FACILITIES The U-Pass currently gives students access to recreation facilities in Abbotsford, Chilliwack and Mission.
• This includes swimming pools, ice rinks, and weight rooms. Just show your U-Pass and valid UFV student ID at the front desk, and you’re in!

MY SAFE RIDE HOME Your U-Pass card holds the key to your safety. As a SUS U-Pass cardholder you have a direct line to the participating local cab companies that will have a taxi sent to you immediately to bring you home safe.

If you’ve had to use your My Safe Ride Home credit, your account is reloadable by clicking here.
The MSRH credit will be installed on your account for 365 days from your registration of the credit. After that time you will need to reload the credit through your account. It is not reloaded automatically every semester.
To access your U-Pass MSRH account online:
- click on the MySafeRideHome logo.
- click on Sign In on the left hand side.
- enter the 16-digit number on the back of your U-Pass card and your password.
- from there you can update your profile and add money to your account!

OPTING OUT OF THE U-PASS - If you are only registered in on-line courses in a given semester, or are registered for a B.C. Transit Pass issued by the Government of B.C., or UFV Disability Services can verify with an official letter that you have a demonstrated accessibility issue which inhibits you from using public transit or HandyDART, you may be eligible to opt out of the U-Pass program and receive reimbursement.
The Opt Out Period for the U-Pass is January 1 to 31, 2012.
