The plan covers:
* vaccinations
* home nurse – approved by physician
* ambulance
* diagnostic services
* medical equipment
* tutorial benefit- up
to $10 per hour to a maximum of $300 per accident or illness
* medications legally requiring a prescription including:
o oral contraceptive
o insulin
o diabetic supplies
Students can present the Pay Direct Card and their valid student ID card to fill prescription at most Canadian
pharmacies. Claims must be submitted to Fair PharmaCare and then to the SUS plan. The pharmacist may be able to process the claim
immediately so that the full amount is not required up front and students do not have to wait to be reimbursed.
